Chennai picnic on wheelchair

This is my blog related to my visits and explorations of Chennai on wheelchair.
Since I feel there is dearth of information regarding #wheelchair accessible public spaces ,I have started this blog.Here I would share my experience in wheelchair visits of various places in Chennai ranging from restaurants, temples, picnic spots,public parks,offices,hospitals,etc.
 I plan to write on one place a week. Hope it helps people in wheelchair and their families

Chennai Beaches

Chennai Beaches!          Of course the first spot I would like to write about are the beaches of  Chennai and their #wheelchair accessibility. The three wonderful beaches i visited  are 1.Marina 2.Besant nagar 3.Thiruvanmiyur Marina beach:     Since I self drive my car which is a Honda brio with automatic transmission,I took my wheelchair in the backseat and my wife in the front seat.I always enjoy driving through Cathedral road as it is the best maintained road.I enter the beach road opp Dgp office and then enter the service road near the light house.     Usually i rolldown my windows to take in the sea breeze and ride for about a km or two before parking the car .I select a spot which is close r to the sands  to view the blue sea.
